Expressionist artist (and former SVA faculty member) Josef Presser’s statement on the front of an early SVA exhibition announcement is part treatise on his far-ranging art influences, part “Jabberwocky”. Fellow SVA faculty member Bob Gill designed this piece, which, unlike much of Gill’s work at the time, relies entirely on type.
